What is THAT?!
Look at this awesome BUG! I have no idea what kind it is, but it's wonderful! I have had a fascination with bugs and rocks my whole life.
My hubby found this little beauty in his truck. He though it was a leaf, at first, then he brought it to me, to see if I knew what it was. Nope! But I like it! If anyone knows what it is, please tell me!
This was my disaster for the day. It's a Mookaite Jasper that looks like a bloody claw. Awesome stone! So I made the bezel, got it all ready, put the stone in, pushed the bezel over and SNAP! The stone BROKE! Right at the black line at the top! It almost broke off straight, where I could have just made a new bezel for it. But NO! It left a corner on top. Oh well, them's the breaks I guess! So I'm stuck with it now.
I hope everybody had a better shop day than I did!

Coolest bug ever! I'll be curious to see if anyone can identify it, I have no clue.
Bummer about the mookaite - it would have been a beautiful piece.
Oh that sucks, but I think it just adds character.. but I wouldn't sell it either.. that bug is something straight out of a scifi movie... reminds me of some jurassic fossil, come to life... ahhhhh run for your lives............ oh sorry my imagination was running away. :)
post when you find out what it is!!
I thought we had bizarre bugs around here but that little guy takes the cake!
You can fix the stone. Um....it'll be a couple more months before I know how (LOL). At least it can be worn without fear of losing a piece. Pretty.
Pk, that's the coolest bug ever! You have got to send in the picture to this link http://www.whatsthatbug.com/
they can help you find out what it is....can't wait to know!
Sorry sbout the necklace. :(
Bummer about the stone - but I can't see the crack looking at your photo.
Cool Bug - he would look good as a brooch.
Ooooooooo the point you got on that bezel is gorgeous! I hate it when things break (or melt!)
Really groovy bug. Grrrr, that is such a nice piece, I know how aggravating it is when you spend all that time & effort & something goes terribly wrong at the very end. I can understand not selling it, but I would still wear it, if you don't tell them, most people would never know.
