Finally...Something New!

YAY! I finally got around to finishing a new ring!

It's Oregon Petrified Wood Limb Cast Agate. It's a gorgeous stone, with blue-grey and black.

I kept the setting kinda simple, but did a bit of embellishing.

I'm just happy to have time to make something different!

I have to get back to work on orders tomorrow, so I don't know when I'll get something else made.

Cane is doing great and growing like crazy. i think he'll be big enough to release by this weekend.

He won't let me hold him anymore, and that's a good thing. I want him to be scared of people and dogs. He lives in my bedroom right now, so I'm sleeping on the couch with the dogs! Crazy huh? I'll give up my bed to keep a rabbit wild. I have some serious issues! LOL

My youngest son says that someday I'll be the crazy lady that tries to feed caterpillars with an eyedropper! :) He's probably right!

I had to break up a pitbull fight a few days ago. Scary!

My neighbors dog is in heat and my dog got in a fight with another pit. If I hadn't been home, mine probably would have been killed. He's to old for that crap! The other dog had him by the throat, but I got to them in time, so he just had mostly scratches on his face and neck, but he has a hole through his foot and the pad is torn open. It's better now, but still looks awful. The vet said to leave it alone and let him take care of it.

Being a pet owner is hard sometimes!

Well, I've rambled on long enough, so I'm off to check out everybody's blogs. Later!

HiYa Tammy!!

The ring is beautiful! sorry to hear about your puppers fighting! atleast you where able to break them up!

I will finally be getting some materials in June.. this week and next are devoted to bills, but starting in june we should be good to go and FINALLY caught back up from this crappy winter and economy.. although I'm so thankful that my DH has been working and we are making ends meet so to speak.. we have all the necessities and that's what counts.
I hope all is well with you and your family..
looks like your new camera is working out for you also!! :) My two first purchases will be a tumbler and my new camera! then on to the fun stuff!

have a great day and many blessings to you!

Tammy that is one gooooorgeous ring, and I love the stone! You're right, it's beautiful, I'm in love already. Yay Cane growing and staying wild! It's definitely good for him, I agree - and there ain't nothin' wrong with feedin' caterpillars with an eyedropper. *grins* I've tried to bathe stray dogs before as a 7 year old. That was epic. Sorry to hear about your dog! I hope he gets better soon...

Wowzers! Awesomering. I love the stone, and the setting compliments it very nicely!! Hooray that Cane is doing well. Don't feel bad, you're in good company with the rescue thing. Many years ago, we lived across from a small elementary school. Somehow the kids found out I did wild bird rescues (feed with eyedropper!), and for about a month straight, I'd get up in the morning to a shoebox or two with three or four baby birds in them! Every day!! I had 21 little birds at one time for a while! It was NUTS!!! Had to get the principal to make an announcement and stop the kids from raiding bird nests to bring me!!! LOL Sorry your dog got in the fight - that sucks!!!! Hope he is on the mend! Cheers!

I am completely in love with that ring!!!! Beautiful! I have seen a lot of rings but I love your style...very you! Any ideas on where I can buy some stones until I get back to Asheville? I have to make a ring for my stepmother's birthday, but I need a good stone...no idea where to look....

That ring is really gorgeous. Sometimes stones can stand out on their own (with a little help). I really like that ring.

Please be careful breaking up fights. I know you did it without thinking, but Mom did that & ended up with her hand in the wrong place. She was fine (just needed a few stiches), but it's hard not to jump in when your baby is getting hurt.

Tammy I love the ring! It's nice to see you had time to create something new.

Good to hear how Cane is doing. Sounds like he'll be fine once you release him. And I don't think you're crazy for sleeping on the couch...now feeding caterpillars with an eyedropper, that may be a bit crazy...lol!

Hey there Tammy! LOVELY ring!! And the stone is gorgeous too! I wanted to also tell you that I have changed the url of my blog to http://FleurVioletteJewelry.Blogspot.com. You are "following" my blog, so I don't know if it automatically will point to my new blog or still take you to my old blog.

Shuku just enlightened me :-). The old "follow" will not work, please go and "re-follow" my blog at http://FleurVioletteJewelry.Blogspot.com. Sorry for the inconvenience!
